Gas springs and actuators

MOUNTING CONDITIONS

  • The gas spring should not be subjected to transverse load.
  • If possible, the maximum load capacity of the gas spring should not be fully utilized.
  • If desired to re-paint the gas spring, the piston rod should be covered properly.
  • Do not use solvents upon purification.
  • Accessories for the Gas spring installation are found on page Gas spring accessories.

INSTALLATION

  • Gas springs should be installed the piston rod facing downward.
  • The piston rod must be protected against voltage fluctuations, welding and grinding sparks, oxidizing chemicals and paints.
  • Never grap the rod with pliers or in a vice without using protective lead, aluminium or copper jaws.

OPERATING CONDITIONS

  • Operating temperature: -30ºC - +80ºC
  • Maximum number of cycles (full reciprocating motion) / min : 5 pcs

STORAGE BEFORE USE

  • Gas springs can be stored horizontally at ambient temperature for up to three months.
  • For long-term storage gas springs must be stored vertically with the rod pointing down.

Bansbach – High-quality gas springs and actuators for demanding applications Gas Springs

Bansbach gas springs are manufactured in accordance with exceptionally strict quality requirements. Every component and each stage of production is carefully tested to ensure that the final product meets the highest possible quality standards. Bansbach holds ISO 9001 quality certification as well as the aerospace QSF-B / EN 9100 certification, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality and reliability.

Thanks to their high level of quality, Bansbach gas springs are widely used around the world and across many different industries. They can be found in office furniture, hospital beds, mobility aids for people with disabilities, medical equipment, furniture, aircraft, computer terminals, and various types of vehicles. In these demanding applications, Bansbach quality ensures safety, durability, and long service life.

All Bansbach gas spring models are also available in stainless steel in nearly all size ranges, enabling use in demanding and corrosion-prone environments. If required, gas springs can be equipped with components suitable for the specific operating environment, taking into account factors such as ambient temperature. The majority of the gas springs we supply are customized to customer-specific requirements. Bansbach is able to manufacture tailored solutions even in very small batches—if necessary, down to single units. In addition, we can stock customer-specific products when demand is regular.

EasyE-line Actuators

Bansbach’s EasyE-line product range offers highly powerful and durable actuators for demanding applications. The linear design of the motor, gearbox, and spindle enables an exceptionally slim and compact installation solution. Available outer diameters of 35, 50, and 60 mm make EasyE-line actuators easy to integrate and versatile for a wide range of applications. Despite their compact size, the range delivers forces of up to 10,000 N in the EasyE-60 model.

The operation of the actuator can be controlled in a versatile manner using a separate control unit. Models with the control unit integrated directly into the motor are also available. Several control options are offered, including Modbus-based control, allowing seamless integration into various automation systems.

EasyE and EasyE-I actuators are available with both external and internal control units. The range also includes versions made from acid-resistant AISI 316 stainless steel, as well as multiple protection classes for demanding environments, such as IP66, IP68, and IP69. EasyE-line provides a reliable and long-lasting solution even for the most challenging conditions. .
